Créatures humanoïdes liées à l'eau, proche des Elfes par l'apparence. Elles peuvent vivre aussi bien sous l'eau qu'à la surface, mais leur habitat semble toujours situé près de points d'eau (sources, lacs, marécages, mer).

Toutes d'aspect féminin, elles sont intelligentes et disposent d'une culture qui leur est propre, un peu à l'instar des Fées ou des Nymphes. Elles peuvent communiquer avec les mortels, mais semblent la plupart du temps les éviter. Rare sont ceux à avoir aperçu ou cotoyé une Néréide.

A l'instar des Fées, elles semblent très présentes en Val-Boisé mais ne se limitent absolument pas à cette seule province, puisqu'on en retrouve aussi bien en Lenclume qu'au Marais noir ou en Cyrodiil.
